Sterling Vineyards
Offers New Reserve Tour Program
Sterling Vineyards, long known for its stunning hilltop location, outstanding valley views, friendly, courteous hospitality, and exceptional wines, is adding another very special experience for its visitors: daily Reserve Tours.
Reserve Tour participants will ride Sterling’s
one-of-a-kind aerial tram to the top of the hill, where a
knowledgeable guide will greet them and escort them on a
private tour through the winery. The tour will culminate in a
guided tasting of a three-vintage vertical series of
Sterling’s spectacular Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon.
Each vintage, Sterling Vineyards handcrafts from the finest
lots of grapes a small number of wines destined to be the very
best the ultimate expression of Napa Valley fruit and the
Sterling Vineyards style. This is the philosophy behind
Sterling Vineyards Reserves, explains Mike Westrick,
Sterling’s Vice President of Winemaking. The word
‘Reserve’ on a label means this is the richest,
most complete expression of a varietal that I am capable of
crafting, he says.
James O’Shea, Manager of
Hospitality at Sterling Vineyards, says, The new Reserve Tours
grew out of an events program that was developed for and became
extremely popular with corporate incentive groups. The special
attention provided by a private tour and tasting reflects the
special attention given to the creation of our Reserve wines
and make the Reserve Tour an unforgettable experience. We are
now pleased to offer it daily to the public.
Because of the small size of each tour, reservations are
highly recommended and may be made by calling the Sterling
Vineyards at (707) 942-3349. Reserve Tours start promptly at 11
a.m. every day. We recommend that you arrive about 15 minutes
before that, says O’Shea, to give yourself plenty of time
to get your tickets and enjoy the tram ride.
Tickets for the Reserve Tour are $45 per person. These special
tours are restricted to adults over age 21 only, and are
limited in size to 12 participants. Because of the small size
of each tour, reservations are highly recommended and may be
made by calling the Sterling Vineyards Reserve Tour line at
(707) 942-3349.
