Following the sale of Fetzer Winery in 1992, Jim Fetzer created Ceago Vinegarden. The first Ceago ranch was located in the McNab Valley, Mendocino County, California. In the spring 2001, Jim purchased 270 acres between the villages of Nice and Lucerne on the north shore of Clearlake, Lake County, California. Ceago Del Lago This property, "Ceago Del Lago" is now the focus of intense development efforts, where Jim is creating a biodynamic farm along with a Food and Wine Center.

Ceago Del Lago" is located on the northern shore of Clear Lake in Lake County between the small villages of Nice and Lucerne. It is 30 miles (48 km) east of Redwood Valley. This estate is in the development stage. This lake front resort will consist of grapes, olives and walnuts in addition to a new wine making facility. This ranch is 270 acres (109 hectares) and will be farmed using biodynamic practices. The focus of this estate will be Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, and Sauvignon Blanc grapes.
